About Coach Dawn 

When you ask around the DFW metroplex about powerskating there is one name that consistently comes up. Dawn Bennett is a highly respected skating coach that has been coaching figure skaters and hockey players in DFW for 25+ years. Having grown up in Minnesota as a Figure Skater in a Hockey Player’s world, Dawn has a unique perspective on skating. Following years of training, competing and performing as a professional figure skater, Dawn earned a USFS Gold Medal in Freestyle and Figures. Dawn has since received her Master Rating with the Professional Skaters Association (PSA) in Freestyle, is a Certified Hockey Power Skating Coach through PSA and a Level 4 USA Hockey Coach. Because of her training and unique perspective she is know to be the edge work expert. When the highest level athletes in DFW need to improve their technique and edge work she’s the first they call. Dawn is so highly regarded and respected that she has become the go-to coach for several the Dallas Stars players when they are looking for lessons with their own kids. It’s saying something when you’re seen by NHL athletes as the skating coach. Coach Dawn’s calendar is always full and she maintains a waiting list for lessons. She is passionate about helping athletes attain the necessary skills to compete at the highest level.
